Bespoke hand cut roof
In 2018, Peninsula Custom Construction was extremely proud to undertake a large-scale job, fully constructing a roof, including slating and lead work which encased four dormers and three Velux windows.
Initially, heavy-duty steel was set in place to support the hand cut roof timbers. The timbers were felted with specialist TLX Gold insulated felt and battened in preparation for slates. The dormer frames were also hand cut in situ then felted ready to be finished and cladded with a specialist dual colour external cladding. The complete roof, including gable ends, were then expertly finished with Brazilian slate, lead flashing, and a dry ridge system.
